Most people are familiar with the term "work-life balance," but what if we thought of it as "work life management" instead? During this presentation, Tippie Assistant Professor Beth Livingston will share her research on how women need to better understand their working process to better manage their work and home lives.

"Women in STEM Panel Discussion"

This panel discussion will bring together women working in STEM-related fields to share their perspectives. Panelists include Jennifer Marietta-Westberg (PhD00), Principal at Cornerstone Research and former Deputy Director and Chief Economist at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission; and Eden Simmer (BBA05), Head of Global Equity Trading at PIMCO, and Ebony Johnson (MBA21), Trait Discovery Project Manager at Corteva Agriscience. Moderated by Tippie Business Analytics Professor Jen Blackhurst.

"The Pandemic and Mental Health, One Year In: What we've learned and what can help us move forward"

For many, the most consistent aspect of the past year has been change. In this program, Kristin Wurster, the Tippie College's Embedded Psychologist, will talk about the impact of the pandemic on mental health thus far, and strategies to help people continue moving forward with self-compassion.

"Women on Corporate Boards Panel Discussion"

Tippie Dean Amy Kristof-Brown will lead this discussion that highlights the importance of greater representation of women on corporate board of directors. Panelists include Janice Reals Ellig (BBA68), CEO of the Ellig Group; Sue Taylor (MBA01), Chief Information Officer for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Boise Cascade board member; and Anne-Marie Thomas (BBA83), board member of the Commonwell Mutual Insurance Group and the DUCA Financial Services Credit Union (both based in Canada).
